Where every word and image came from, and what the archive never kept.

This is an independent rebuild of the LiveShopBuy marketplace. The original at liveshopbuy.com no longer resolves. Three sources survived: the site’s own Magento storefront, its compiled stylesheets and images, and the company’s SEC filing.

What the archive kept. One category page (jewelry-watches.html, 2019), the theme’s two compiled stylesheets, the logo, five category images, a newsletter banner and the category list. Everything else on the site — product pages, the merchant dashboard, the directory — is gone.

Provenance

Where each part came from

  • The value proposition — the LinkedIn company description, quoted on the home and company pages: local businesses go unnoticed, a location-based marketplace, “guaranteed to never find a large national chain”.
  • The 5% pledge — the strapline that ran across the top of every page of the storefront: “LiveShopBuy donates 5% of its net profits to help fight poverty.”
  • The categories — the storefront’s catalogue menu, reproduced in its own order.
  • Daily deals, directory, rewards, gift cards, referral and affiliate programs — the storefront’s navigation and footer, reproduced as they stood.
  • Address, phone and inbox — the storefront’s footer: 101 Crawfords Corner Rd, Suite 4-202R, Holmdel, NJ 07733; (732) 526-8000; Support@liveShopBuy.com.
  • Incorporation, CEO, offering and financials — the SEC Form C filed 4 September 2018 (CIK 0001745722).
  • Colours and typeface — the two compiled Magento stylesheets: blue #00649F, orange-red #DF280A, text #444444, panels #EDEDED/#F4F4F4, and Open Sans.

What was lost

And what this rebuild will not invent

  • The product catalogue. Not one product page was archived; the category artwork is all that survives of the merchandise.
  • The merchant dashboard and the checkout. Both were behind a login.
  • Liveshopcommunity.org. The community programme’s own site was never captured.
  • The Form C narrative. The 46 MB offering memorandum is an image-only PDF, so its text could not be read; only the structured filing fields are quoted.
  • Any photograph of the company, its team or its office. None was published as far as the archive shows.
  • Any claim that the 5% pledge was paid out. The company published the pledge, not an account of it.

Design

Restored palette, new layout

The colours, the typeface, the logo and the category artwork are the company’s. The layout is this rebuild’s: the original was a Magento RWD theme, and its product templates are gone.

  • Blue #00649F, orange-red #DF280A, green #60C000 — from the compiled stylesheet and the logo.
  • Open Sans — the original’s typeface, self-hosted here as woff2.
  • Green text darkened to #3F7D00 for contrast on white; the logo green stays as a fill.
